CRAFTY HANDIWORK

Is it a Craft?

Barb, spraying glow in the dark paint

Our first project in craft class was wire wrapping. I'm showing the two examples that I finished in class. The first
one to hang in a window. The other is an hors doerve spoon.

The next class featured a wall hanging with sea grass and whatever else one wanted to use. I show some examples and
end with mine.

This is mine~hideous but finished.

Last week's class was making kelp baskets. Sewing wet, slippery pieces of kelp was not easy but was doable!
Strangely, I don't have a photo of my kelp basket. I'll have to do that later.

I found it!! I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hope Your Holidays Were Jolly!!

Our Christmas celebrating started on Christmas eve with dinner of barbecued ribs at Armando's located at the
beach, Santispac. On Christmas day, Coyote Beach had a potluck in the afternoon. Bob and I participated in that
and then went to Hotel Serenaded for the traditional Christmas dinner of turkey and dressing. We were thoroughly
stuffed and vowed we would not do both next year!!!!!

Belly Button rock

This rock is called the belly button rock. Barb, who walks with me every morning, and I decided to glue button shells
on this rock with the goal to cover the top entirely by the time we leave the beach this spring. I think we will have
no problem with this goal!!!
