KEEPING UP

Better than being DOWN!

Finally a fiery red sunrise!

We have again spent two nights in Loreto in the Hotel Plaza to experience a little respite from the beach.

The broken pot on the right with twine holding it
together typifies conditions in Baja!

A few weeks ago the streets were full of Mardi
Gras.  On Saturday night there was a parade that
seemed to feature the whales that people come to
Loreto to see.

This weekend is a gathering of beautiful motorcycles that make a great deal of noise.

IT'S THE SEASON~~
The Coming of the Whale Shark

This photo was taken from a drone by Norm Pawson who is camped on Coyote Beach. This "baby" appeared in our bay on the last day of January which turned out to be a very warm, calm day. Many kayakers and paddle boarders hurried onto the water to see the whale shark close up.

These two photos taken by Jerri and Norm Pawson.

This photo by Nan Simpson, also camped on the beach.

One of the near restaurant-bars held a 60's/Hippy costume event recently; many attended and reportedly all had a good
time. I show a few photos:

Barb's Bodacious Boobs and Jim hamming it up!

KG, one of the resident painters on our beach

I don't know these people, but note fellow in rear in gold Speedo.
