THE NEW YEAR

We brought in 2013 with a potluck at the north end of Coyote Beach hosted by Harold & Diane Pollock in their rented house!! There was plenty of room for the 60 people in the spacious home and front patio. There was also plenty of food. As at Christmas, we also had fireworks and the lighted luminaries along the beach. A very lovely sight. I include a few photos of the regulars on the beach; every person here has an interesting story of their lives!!!

Former neighbors who have returned to Arizona by now, nurtured this volunteer tomato since they saw it sprout not far from the high water line. When they left, they passed the care of it to me. I have watched teenagers pitch tents around it and dogs pee on it, and still it survives with even 4 tomatoes developing on it!! We’ll see if it stays warm enough for it to last.

Bob was sick for 3 weeks with a cold or the flu, who knows. So he stayed close to the motor home and was thoroughly bored. As he feels better now, he has been able to continue with sailing. He does quite well with it!
